PLAY AREAS

Belly Babies
Is your baby moving on their tummy or are they testing their unchartered walking territory? Belly-Babies is the perfect area for the baby on the go. This motion area is designed for open-ended, disaster-free play. It is equipped with tunnels and other play items manufactured by SafeSpace Concepts, Inc. (www.safespaceconcepts.com). SafeSpace products are made of a strong, washable material, ideal for constant cleaning.

Face Painting
Let your child's creativity run wild in the face painting area. This is an independent activity. So mom, sit back and enjoy. We only use non-toxic washable paints.
Trains and Tracks
Children love trains. The specially designed train table in our trains & tracks play area encourages your child to be the conductor of his own train while learning to master such skills as small movements and hand eye coordination. Controlling the train also creates awareness of cause and effect, early scientific understanding and basic mathematical concepts. Sharing and taking turns with other children in the play area also develops your child's social skills.
Ramps, Balls and Tubes
In this area children observe action and reaction. They also develop the skills necessary for understanding math and science concepts.

Pretend
Pretend play is open-ended play and is a very important part of a child's development. In pretend play children learn to use their imagination to create their own stories and solve their own problems. This type of play also helps build confidence, social skills and independence. This area is constantly changing. One day your child may be playing at the vet's office and the next they may be playing at the grocery store.

Building Blocks
The science of play and understanding cause and effect is an important skill for your child to grasp. In the play area your child can play with blocks, ramps and other 3 dimensional toys that will help them develop these skills. This area will also help your child practice patience, dexterity, motor skills, creativity, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving and proportion and dimension.
Creative Corner
Developing works of art at a young age is more about the creative process and less about the finished piece. In the creative corner, children can use clay, paint, crayons and other art supplies to communicate their creative vision. Our goal in this area is to provide children with an artful experience while focusing on the independent process of creating. Children will also practice experimentation, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and patience.
